The E-BOOST project, co-coordinated by CAAR and by ALICE member CARA, promotes electromobility in Europe, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). By providing targeted support through a series of Open Calls, E-BOOST seeks to support innovation, enhance internationalisation, and drive sustainable growth in the electromobility sector.
The project is co-funded by the EU programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and SMEs (COSME).
Supporting electromobility through tailored funding and services
E-BOOST addresses the specific needs of European SMEs within the electromobility sector. With a total project budget of €1.38 million, 75% is earmarked for redistribution to SMEs via Open Calls, making a tangible impact. The Open Calls target different aspects of SME development:
Internationalisation and private investment
A key feature of the E-BOOST project is its focus on preparing SMEs for the future. In April 2025, SMEs are invited to an event with two specialised spaces:
Strategic mentoring and ecosystem animation
In addition to funding and services, E-BOOST offers mentoring programmes for both clusters and SMEs. These programmes focus on strategic management, upskilling, and talent management, providing participants with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in the competitive electromobility landscape.
Ecosystem animation activities are also a cornerstone of the project, facilitating networking and collaboration across Europe. By organising events such as matchmaking sessions, B2B meetings, study visits, and international exhibitions, E-BOOST helps SMEs build valuable partnerships and gain insights into industry trends.
Driving sustainable growth and innovation
E-BOOST’s comprehensive support structure underlines its commitment to creating a dynamic and resilient electromobility market in Europe. By providing tailored funding, strategic mentoring, and internationalisation opportunities, the project not only supports the growth of individual SMEs but also contributes to the broader goals of sustainability and innovation in the logistics and transport sector.
More than an initiative, the E-BOOST project is a catalyst for change, driving the European electric mobility sector towards a sustainable and competitive future.
