Recognising excellence in logistics innovation
The ALICE Logistics Innovation Award celebrates organisations that successfully implement the results of EU-funded research and innovation (R&I) projects, transforming them into commercial solutions, market applications, or policy or regulation recommendations.
Innovation in logistics plays an important role in making supply chains more efficient, sustainable and resilient. However, translating research results into real-world impact is challenging. This award recognises those who have overcome these challenges, inspiring the logistics community and informing policy makers and funders of best practice.
Applications are now open! Submit your case before 30 June 2025 for a chance to be recognised at the ALICE Logistics Summit (23-24 October 2025, Brussels).
Eligibility criteria
We welcome applications from organisations that have successfully implemented innovations from publicly funded R&I projects (European Commission, EU Member States, or regional governments). Eligible projects must have:
In the past few decades, the logistics sector has experienced revolutionary shifts in technologies, business models, policies and legislation, driven by globalisation, digital technologies, fast growth of e-commerce, and increasing concerns on climate change and environment. These developments have not only improved the efficiency of the sector while reducing emissions, but also boosted development of the sector, thus strengthening the role of the sector in the economy overall.
Outcomes of public funded R&I projects from EU, member states and regional governments have been a key facilitator through developing and piloting innovative technologies, solutions and services, demonstrating new business models, supporting policy development and facilitating cross-sector cooperation.
Implementation of innovation is not straightforward. It is challenging and difficult, often taking huge efforts with passion and ambitions. However, there are many practitioners have been able to translate innovations developed from research and innovation projects into commercial services and products, standards, policies and regulations. We want to recognise their efforts and also learn from their success to inspire others and advice funding providers.
