[Webinar] Charging ahead: Overcoming barriers for scalable Megawatt Charging Solutions in Europe

Friday, April 25th, 2025

This session, hosted by ALICE in collaboration with the AEVETO Cluster and the 2Zero Partnership, will explore the vital role of Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS) infrastructure in decarbonizing heavy-duty road transport. By enabling ultra-fast charging (up to 80% of a truck’s battery in 30 minutes during mandatory breaks), MCS addresses key challenges such as operational inefficiency on long-haul routes and the current limitations of existing charging networks.

The webinar will provide an overview of key European initiatives supporting the testing of MCS technology and innovative EV tools in real-world long-haul logistics scenarios, followed by an interactive discussion with major players on current needs, challenges, and operational experiences from a multi-stakeholder point of view. Input collected during the session and through surveys and follow-up interviews will be shared to participants in subsequent workshops and used to inform ongoing work and future planning.
