[WORKSHOP] Advancing Inland Waterways with Digital Twins – Exploring CRISTAL project innovations and MultiRELOAD project demonstrator

Thursday, March 13th, 2025

Is the digitalisation of inland waterways just a vision for the future, or can Digital Twins truly transform the way we navigate, monitor, and optimise inland water transport?

Join us for a highly interactive and reflective workshop  “Advancing inland waterways with Digital Twins”  where we will push the boundaries of innovation, challenge assumptions and explore real-world applications of Digital Twins in inland navigation.

In the programme:

  • Harnessing digitalisation to improve inland waterway transport, insights from the CRISTAL project
  • Experience a live Digital Twin model in action for real-time water monitoring by the MultiRELOAD project
  • Expert panel discussion. Industry leaders debate the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation in IWT.
  • Interactive Q&A session via Slido: Your voice matters!

Are Digital Twins a game changer for inland waterways, or are we still stuck in theory? The future of IWT is not just about technology, it’s about building a connected, intelligent ecosystem that requires collaboration between industry, policy makers and researchers. Join the workshop to be part of the movement.
