Urban Logistics as a key area for liveable cities and regions
Urban logistics is gaining attention across the European Union, regions, and cities. Liveable cities not only need to have a clear plan for sustainable logistics but also must work on this according to the new TEN-T regulation on urban nodes. Addressing environmental, health and congestion issues require a smart strategy and approach on logistics.
Either Collaboration or Collaboration. Are we ready to make it work (finally)
Shippers and logistics companies are challenged by the need of reduce GHG emissions in an affordable way. To that end, collaboration is a must. No company can navigate the transition alone. Why? The current practices have limitations and to achieve true innovations many interdependencies need to be addressed and/or different stakeholders groups need to act in parallel and in a “concerted” way. In this session we will share the views of experts and how ALICE EXPRESS is practically addressing the challenge. The white paper on Increase the use of rail will be presented and how different stakeholders (shippers, LSPs, Intermodal Operators, Rail Undertakings, Rail Infrastructure) need to collaborate to achieve a better integration of rail into supply chain solutions.
The era of deployment: from R&I to industry implementations of digital logistics
Digitalization and logistics have gained ample attention in the recent years. The speakers in this session will address technological developments, processes and practices to support harmonized solutions in coordination with the industry, and in compatibility with EU policies. The session will also mark the launch of the ALICE AI white paper.
Are we ready to fast transition road transport to zero emission technologies?
During the session the main outcomes of the ZEFES stakeholders survey will be discussed, finalizing the gathering of needs and requirements necessary for the transition to zero-emission road transport. A panel discussion with representatives of the main stakeholder groups will be held afterwards in which we will share the key takeaways in 2023 and prospectives for 2024.
European Transport and logistics Corridors & hubs integrated as core part of Physical Internet for Resilient and sustainable logistics and supply chains
The session will entail nodes and transportation networks with a focus on fostering digital and physical interoperability by conveying cross-fertilization activities and initiatives. Our experts and knowledge representatives will shed more light on domain developments and briefly introduce projects/initiatives that support knowledge transition to members.
