ALICE is hiring a Junior Communication Manager

The Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ALICE) is a leading, non-profit industry association dedicated to the advancement of logistics and supply chain innovation across Europe. With a membership comprising over 170 stakeholders in freight transport and logistics, ALICE is at the forefront of shaping a zero-emission future in logistics through collaborative R&D initiatives supported by the EU Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Programmes.

ALICE is a small but growing organisation with 16 team members in the Secretariat and a highly involved Executive Group, members and partners.

ALICE is looking for a highly motivated Junior Communication Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Senior Communication Manager, this role will enhance the implementation of our communication strategies and support our EU-funded projects through effective storytelling and engaging content creation.

Key responsibilities:

• Content development: Draft newsletters and write compelling articles.
• Social media management: contribute to the social media plan, creation of posts, and performance analysis.
• Website: Update website content on regular basis.
• Visual content creation: Develop engaging visuals that complement our digital content.
• Event coordination: Assist in the organisation of both online and offline events.
• Communications support: Provide communication and dissemination support for EU-funded projects, producing copywriting materials, captions and newsletters.
• Team collaboration: Work closely with the internal team to streamline communications activities and support cross-departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

• Education: A university degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• We accept candidates with no previous experience.
• Language skills: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Work permit: Must possess a valid work permit for employment in the EU.
• Professional skills: Customer-focused, with exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Personal qualities: Motivated, autonomous, proactive, with a natural talent for writing. A strong curiosity and willingness to explore innovation and technology in logistics.

• Contract type: one year full time or part time contract with potential for extension.
• Gross Salary base of €27.500-35.000 € depending on experience and fit to the job description.
• Job location: Brussels with a possibility to flexible teleworking anywhere in the EU up to 90% of the time.
• Ideal starting date: October/November 2024.
