ALICE, the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe[1] is a non-for-profit industry led association based in Brussels with 180+ members reaching all stakeholders groups within freight transport, logistics and supply chain. ALICE is the Alliance of European leading companies and experts in implementing logistics and supply chain innovation.
ALICE’s vision is to achieve an affordable transition towards zero emissions logistics. To that end, the fleets and assets used in logistics will be mainly electrified, which is a disruptive process in terms of vehicle technology, infrastructure, logistic processes and digital logistic platforms. In addition, the fleets and assets need to be energy efficient and should use the energy source with the lowest emissions available. Also, assets and resources, including transportation means, need to be better utilized. By creating seamlessly interconnected logistics nodes and networks through the Physical Internet (PI), higher levels of efficiency and improved asset utilization will be achieved. This all will create better conditions for affordability of zero emissions solutions, agility and resilience of supply chains.
ALICE supports, assists, and advises the European Commission[2] in the definition and implementation of the EU Horizon Europe Program for research in logistics.
ALICE is a small but growing organization with 16 team members in the secretariat and a highly motivated Executive Group, members and partners.
ALICE is looking for a junior Project Manager who will be employed on a full-time contract. As a Project Manager, you will work on projects from the Thematic Group 1 Efficient and low emission assets and energy portfolio and generate value for ALICE themes and Programmes.
You will be responsible for a recently awarded project focussing on the harmonisation of emission factors. The project will work on a methodology to gather the actual values of emissions factors in a harmonised way. As a project manager you will be the main contact point towards the project and carrying out the tasks as foreseen in the project Document of Activities, e.g.:
You will also provide support on two other projects. The ZEFES project is working on real-life demonstration of zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles, both battery and hydrogen fuel cell electric and the related infrastructure. The MODI project focusses on demonstrations of automated road transport in relevant logistic use cases. The support will consist of helping with the creation, assessment, communication and dissemination of the project outcomes and deliverables.
At ALICE, we strongly believe that inclusive and diverse teams benefit from higher levels of innovation and creative thought. We encourage applications from women, LGBTQIA+ and individuals from all nationalities.
