ALICE, the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe[1] is a non-for-profit industry led association based in Brussels with 190+ members reaching all stakeholders groups within freight transport, logistics and supply chain. ALICE is the Alliance of European leading companies and experts in implementing logistics and supply chain innovation.
ALICE’s vision is to achieve an affordable transition towards zero emissions logistics. To that end, the fleets and assets used in logistics will be mainly electrified, requiring massive innovation in the field of vehicle technology, infrastructure, logistic processes and digital logistic platforms. By creating seamlessly interconnected logistics nodes and networks through the Physical Internet (PI), higher levels of efficiency and improved asset utilization will be achieved to support transition in an affordable and competitive way.
ALICE supports, assists, and advises the European Commission[2] in the definition and implementation of the EU Horizon Europe Program for research in logistics.
ALICE is a small but growing organization with 20+ team members in the secretariat and a highly motivated Executive Group, members and partners.
ALICE is looking for a Junior Project Support who will be employed on a full-time contract. You will mainly work on projects linked to the Thematic Group 1 Efficient and low emission assets and energy portfolio in particular: ZEFES, FLEXMCS and Macbeth projects supporting Project Managers in ALICE secretariat. You will also support ALICE project portfolio meetings in which we share progress and best practices across our project’s portfolio.
Specifically, you will:
- Review literature dealing with charging demand/logistics flows modelling and existing datasets analysis on EU level.
- Create and maintain a knowledge base from all the projects in the AEVETO cluster in relation to infrastructure mapping and new suitable locations for charging infrastructure.
- Map and support the securing of charging and HRS for the ZEFES use cases and their interaction with TEN-T/TEN-E corridors.
- Support the preparation and back office to arrange charging and fuelling infrastructure for the execution of the ZEFES use cases.
- Support in reaching out to relevant actors and defining engagement opportunities, in particular identifying needs and requirements associated with the different stakeholder groups.
- General administrative and logistical support in TG1 activities and events organization. Support surveys fine-tuning, preparation of interviews and analysis methodologies in relation to the TG1 activities and projects.
- Assist in project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication to ensure smooth execution. Help coordinate project activities with internal and external partners.

- Prepare and organize project portfolio meetings, ensuring key stakeholders are well-informed and aligned.
- Lead the consolidation of best practices across ALICE projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and knowledge-sharing.
You will provide support to these projects:
- The ZEFES project is working on real-life demonstration of zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles, both battery and hydrogen fuel cell electric and the related infrastructure.
- The FLEXMCS project, which aims to accelerate the mass deployment of electric trucks by developing highly energy-efficient megawatt-charging hubs with multiport chargers, integrating renewable energy sources, optimizing grid capacity, and enabling real-time data exchange, while streamlining the planning, installation, and scalability of charging infrastructure along TEN-T corridors.
- FLEXMCS sister project, MACBETH aims to accelerate the transition to electric long-haul trucking by piloting user-centric Megawatt Charging System (MCS) hubs in the Nordics and Benelux, addressing technical, social, and economic challenges through large-scale demonstrations, while developing tools and business models to enable the mass deployment of MCS infrastructure across Europe.
