François-Régis Le Tourneau is of French and German nationality. He has a strong track record in executive positions in Controlling & Finance as well as Supply Chain Management. During the last 3 decades at L’Oréal, François-Régis has managed organizational and transformational projects on selective and consumer channels with impacts on large teams. His leadership role is always to anticipate, innovate and obtain results in complex organizations.
He is now in charge of the international coordination of the Sustainability Program “L’Oréal For The Future”. François-Régis manages a world-wide Sustainability Leaders community in order to ensure, with the General Managers of each country, that sustainability is at the heart of the business transformation. L’Oréal For The Future aims at transforming L’Oréal’s activities to respect planetary boundaries (climate, water, resources), at empowering the company’s ecosystems and at contributing to solving the challenges of the world.
Francois Regis is the Chairman of ALICE, Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe, member of the board of France Supply Chain, and advisory at the BunderVereinigungLogistik (the German Logistic Association).
Elisabetta Gualmini is Professor of Political Science at the University of Bologna, and has been re-elected at the European Parliament for a second mandate. She is currently Member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and of Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, and, during the last mandate, she was Rapporteur of the important Platform Work Directive.
Elisabetta Gualmini is President of the European Parliament Ceramics Forum since 2021. According to EU Matrix she was the only first-term Italian MEP in the absolute ranking of the top 100 most influential MEPs.
Elisabetta Gualmini has written more than ten books in various languages on political science and social policy, and her latest book, ‘Mamma Europa, a new Union after crisis and scandals’, she presented her commitment for a more united and supportive Europe, a house for democracy and peace for all.
Elisabetta Gualmini was visiting Professor at numerous Universities, among which LSE, the Berlin Centre for Social Science, UCLA and UCB.
Maja held various positions in the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs between 1996 and 2016. Based in Brussels from 1999 until 2011, she was responsible for horizontal coordination of the Croatian accession negotiations. In 2011, she moved back to Zagreb and was responsible for setting up and management of the system of national coordination of European Affairs. In 2015 she became Assistant Minister for Europe in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
On 1 December 2016, she became Deputy Director-General in the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport, responsible for coordinating the activities related to investment, innovative and sustainable transport, in support of the Commission President’s priorities.
Marie-Christine Lombard is Chief Executive Officer of GEODIS and Chairman of the Executive Board. A graduate of the Essec business school, she has held general management positions in the transport and logistics industry for more than 22 years. She has spent her entire career in an international environment.
After eleven years in the banking sector in the United States and in France, she moved into the express deliveries sector, joining Jet Services in 1993 as Chief Financial Officer. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1997, and subsequently became Chairman of TNT Express France following the purchase of Jet Services by TNT. In 2004, she was named Chairman and Chief Executive of the entire Express division, and then Chairman of the Executive Board in 2011 when TNT Express became an independent listed company.
She joined the GEODIS Group in October 2012, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board a year later.
Since her arrival, she has promoted the development of GEODIS in all aspects of the Supply Chain and broadened the Group’s footprint through major acquisitions: in the United States in 2015, with OHL, in Poland in 2021 with Pekaes, and in Germany in 2023 with trans-o-flex. Under her leadership, the company has invested in innovation and in the digitalization of its businesses, culminating in the launch in 2018 of the Upply marketplace.

Born in Japan in 1952. After graduating from Osaka City University, Prof. Mori worked at Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) from 1975 to 2006. He was in charge of logistics business such as warehousing as well as shipping.
From 1997 to 2001, he worked as Managing Director at AMT Freight GmbH, MOL’s German logistics subsidiary, for 4 years. After working in the research department of MOL, in 2006 Prof. Mori moved and worked as a professor at University of Marketing & Distribution Sciences (UMDS) and became Professor Emeritus at the university in 2021.
In 2023, Prof. Mori became the chairman of the Physical Internet Center. He has also been teaching annually as a special lecturer at Mae Fah Luang University in Thailand since 2016.
Prof. Mori is deeply involved in ISO, such as serving as the Chairman of the ISO315 National Committee from 2021 and the TC344 National Committee member in 2024. He also served as a member of many committees, such as the “Physical Internet Realization Conference” hosted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, the CNP Committee member, and the WG Chair, also Member of the Osaka World Expo Transportation Council, Chairman of the Maritime Transportation Section. Prof. Mori also serve on the boards of several companies and organizations.
In addition, Prof. Mori has written many books, including “Introduction to Ocean Shipping,” “The Fundamentals of Modern Logistics,” and “Logistics and SDGs.” Etc.

Antonio’s strategic insights contribute to shaping the future of European industry, serving as curator for the EU Industrial Forum’s Task Force 2 and participating in expert groups on Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3), Interregional Innovation Investments (I3), Industry 5.0, and the High-Level Working Group on European Digital Innovation Hubs (eDIHs). Bernard Piette was born in 1967. Since May 2007, he is the General Manager of Logistics in Wallonia, the Competitive Cluster for Logistics and Mobility in Wallonia (Belgium).
Logistics in Wallonia is one of the six clusters recognized by the Walloon authorities in the framework of an ambitious economic and industrial development. These clusters are meeting and collaboration platforms for all the actors of the sector : logistic service providers, shippers, universities, research and training organisations. The aim is to encourage these actors to set up collaborative projects funded by the Walloon Region under certain condition and also to promote the region abroad.
On a personal level, Bernard Piette has an experience of more than 30 years in supporting businesses internationally first in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Liege and at the Chamber of Commerce of Maastricht.
Since the beginning of the year 2012, he is also Honorary Consul General of the Netherlands for the provinces of Liège, Namur and Luxemburg. In 2019, he has been elected Chairman of the Consular Association of the province of Liège.
Nathan is graduated from Science-Po Lyon with a specialisation on Local and regional Development and International Relations. He joins CARA to contribute to the decarbonation of mobility by supporting innovations developed by transport operators, identifying demonstration territories and fostering collaboration between private and public sectors in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Nathan is highly dedicated to apply a systemic approach to mobility by addressing the needs of peri-urban and rural areas, extending beyond the boundaries of metropolitan boarders.
Currently based in Lyon, France, Nathan continues to shape the logistic sector through his involvement in events or workshops organised by members and partner of the cluster, to promote all logistics modes, discuss and contribution to the discussions among operators and local authorities to identify solutions to their challenges. Finally, he plays a pivotal role in supporting startups and project providers throughout the region, recognizing that they are the cornerstones of European economy.
At CARA, European cluster of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, we promote and support innovative mobility projects whether it is bikes, trains, logistics, guided air transport, automotive or trucks.
Through our expertise and wide vision of the mobility sector, we connect companies/startup to develop their project, help them to find founding, respond to public tenders. Also, we help them to build partnerships with local authorities in order to test their innovation project and find concrete used cases.

Digital transition: leveraging technologies for efficient and zero emissions logistics

Eric Ballot is full professor of supply chain management and industrial engineering at MINES Paris – PSL. He is the head professor of the industrial management and supply chain program. He is a visiting professor at Hong Kong University since 2015 and a visiting scholar at the MIT Sloan School of management in 2007.
He serves as board member of several institution such GS1 innovation, GEODIS University, was a member of IMHRC French urban logistics research program and is an accredited expert by Appeal Court of Paris since 2002. Eric Ballot has been leading many research projects both with the industry Airbus, Renault, Danone… and with international academic partners such as EPFL, Hong Kong University, Georgia Tech, JPIC…
He is also the author of many research papers and books chapters. His research has been awarded and recognized at several occasions in conferences and research prizes (IESM, ILS, PREDIT). He is also one of the cofounder of the Physical Internet.
Dr. Evangelos Mitsakis holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Transportation Engineering. He is elected Research Director at the Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, where he has been working since 2005. Since 2021 he is also Managing Director of deeptraffic, a spin-off company of CERTH-HIT working on traffic management for connected and automated vehicles.
His areas of expertise include Intelligent Transportation Systems, Traffic Management and Real-time Data Exchange.
Since May 2023 he is coordinating the EU funded research project “SYNCHROMODE: Advanced traffic management solutions for synchronized and resilient multimodal transport services”. In this context, he is also the main author of the recently published “Multimodal Traffic Management: Roadmap for 2030 and beyond”, in collaboration with experts from seven EU funded research projects on topics related to traffic management.
Ignacio Serra is a port-logistics innovation expert, member of the Port of Algeciras Innovation Technical Office. He holds an MSc in Civil Engineering and University Expert in Innovation and Digitalization of the port-logistics sector, both by the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
He is specialized in maritime business, innovation, digital transformation, and process optimization in the port-logistics sector, combining consultancy and innovation projects. His duty is to develop Algeciras’ Port innovation programme and initiatives, while fostering a framework for open innovation and innovation culture.
Jon Kuiper is a senior policy advisor at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management.
Jon has held various senior executive roles over the past decades in supply chain and operations. Having worked for Corporates (Philips and Xerox), but also in small and medium enterprises, Jon has a broad experience in operations and the challenges of digitalization.
Having led a start-up using blockchain technology in supply chains, Jon is familiar with innovation in supply chain processes and change management.
For the Dutch Ministry Jon Kuiper is an active contributor of the creation of an EDIC for Mobility and Logistics that aims to provide a sustainable digital infrastructure for the European Mobility Data Space.

Andrea Gentili is Deputy Head of Unit of the “Clean Transport Transition” unit – and Horizon Europe Clean Planet Partnerships Manager – in the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission.
The Unit drives Research and Innovation to accelerate the necessary transition towards low-carbon, low- and zero emission and zero pollution, circular and digital European mobility systems in order to support a sustainable competitiveness of the EU transport sectors.
Andrea has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa in Italy.
Andrea is happily married and is the proud father of three children. In his leisure time, he practises biking and plays regularly tennis and squash. He is also a free-diving instructor.

Salvador Furió holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a Master of Science in Ports Management and Intermodal Transport from the Comillas University (ICADE).
After six years of experience as Project Director at LOGISTA, the leading logistics operator in Spain, he joined the Valenciaport Foundation in 2004 as Director of Logistics and Intermodality. Since then, he has participated in and directed numerous consulting, research and cooperation projects at national, European and international levels, always related to container logistics, maritime, railway and intermodal transport, trade facilitation, planning and design of logistics platforms, or energy efficiency and environmental management.
In 2019, he took on a new responsibility in the Valenciaport Foundation as Director of Innovation and Port Cluster Development, coordinating the technical areas of digital transformation, sustainability, port logistics, safety and security, port-city integration and market intelligence. Since July 2023, he is also Deputy General Manager.
In addition, he teaches in different master’s programs at the Universities of Valencia and Castellón and participates in national and international congresses of transport and logistics.
Currently, he is a member of the Executive Group of the ALICE European Technology Platform, chairing the working group about Hubs, Corridors and Synchromodality, and he is the liaison Officer of the Waterborne TP with ALICE.
From R&I to impact generation: take up and scaling up

Dr. Yanying Li is an experienced advocacy professional, project leader and consensus builder with more than 10 years’ experience in engaging with international stakeholders, EU policy analysis and advocacy, strategy development, project management and fundraising.
Yanying holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK, and a Master degree in Civil Engineering from Tsinghua University, China. She worked as Liaison officer at the secretariat of Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM), funded and co-chaired by Mike Bloomberg, where she was responsible for liaison with UN Agencies, EU institutions, city networks, and NGOs to advance cities’ climate action. From 2008 to 2017 she worked as Senior Manager at ERTICO – ITS Europe, where she led several ECfunded international cooperation projects working with cities from Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America on implementation of sustainable urban mobility and logistics policies and technologies. Prior to joining ERTICO, she worked as Research Fellow at the University of Southampton.
Yanying has a large number of publications including a book chapter ‘The Role of Public Authorities in the Development of Mobility-as-aService’ in “The Governance of Smart Transportation Systems”, published by Springer.

Dr. Anders Berger, Director Group Public Affairs, works at Volvo Group headquarter in Gothenburg with a focus on policy and enabling business conditions for the Volvo Group and our customers to succeed in meeting the requirements for economically and environmentally sustainable transport solutions. He participates primarily in the public conversation about the transformation of the transport system, transport efficiency, automation and digitalization.
Andreas Josefsson joined the Swedish innovation platform for sustainable logistics; CLOSER, in 2018 holding the role as responsible for developing and driving projects to accelerate the transition to energy-efficient and fossil-free freight transport in collaboration with industrial actors, academic institutions, and societal organizations, e.g. the REEL project targeting the electrification of regional logistics systems through demonstrating more than 70 electric HDVs in various types of goods flows together with 45 stakeholders.
Before joining CLOSER, Andreas worked at Volvo Cars and Accenture Strategy where he ran multiple projects related to logistics and supply chain development, in both Europe and China. He holds a M.Sc. in Supply Chain Management from Chalmers University of Technology and CSR & Sustainable Management from University of Buenos Aires.
With over 13 years of experience at Codognotto, Szymon Pyzik has developed a customer-focused and data-driven approach to leadership. As Group Sales Director, he has led teams to achieve strategic growth through sales, acquisitions, and operational excellence.
His ability to adapt to evolving market conditions and hands-on decisions has contributed to both top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.

Szymon Oscislowski is a Deputy Head of Unit in the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) of the European Commission.
His responsibilities include policy oversight in the field of freight transport and logistics, including digital transformation, sustainable development, carbon accounting and ship financing.
Before joining the Commission, he was a programme manager, director and special envoy for European Funds in Poznan (Poland), dealing with project management and external financing of projects in the area of transport and energy.
Role of Innovation in Urban Logistics in implementation of the Urban Mobility Framework

As POLIS’ director for policy activities and EU research and innovation projects and the leader of the Working Groups on Access and Parking, Ivo is active in EU research and innovation projects and advocacy relating to EU urban mobility research and innovation, TEN-T, SUMP, public transport, access regulations, parking, and digitalisation in each of these areas. He also co-leads the ERTRAC-ERRAC-ALICE Urban Mobility Working Group and leads the UVAR and Parking subgroup within DG MOVE’s Expert Group on Urban Mobility.
Before joining POLIS, Ivo worked at Eurocities and served as an advisor to a Member of the European Parliament and the Belgian Federal Minister for Environment.
Johan Leveque is an expert in the application of mathematics, AI, and big data to logistics and supply chain management.
Currently serving as the Director of R&D at La Poste Group, Johan’s expertise has led to numerous successful initiatives, including the establishment of a cargo bike network across all France’s major cities. This work was cited as a reference for best logistic project by the French Minister of Ecological Transition, affirming its impact and success.
In addition to his role at La Poste Group, Johan is an Affiliate Researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology’s Physical Internet Lab, where he explores hyperconnected city logistics problems.
Sustainable e-Commerce and circular economy reshaping urban logistics

Josephine has been working in the Swedish innovation system for several years. She has previous experience from working with areas such as autonomous vehicles and shared mobility, in addition to project managing collaborative innovation projects implementing geofencing in the transport system.
Josephine started working with sustainable e-commerce in 2020 and has been responsible for ASTER (Alliance for Sustainable E-commerce) since 2021. ASTER works with gathering over 110-partners within the e-commerce chain to work in, and fund, collaborative innovation projects connected to sustainable e-commerce. Josephine has a M.Sc. in Quality and Operations Management and a B.Sc. in Production and Industrial Management from Chalmers University of Technology.
Joy is a French engineer and city planner with international experience in goods and people transport. She has worked on large-scale transportation projects in Africa at the World Bank, bikeshare and scootershare around the world at Uber and Smoove, as well as public transit performance and road safety research in California.
Now she leads Transport Strategy & Policy at Amazon Logistics for France, Belgium and Luxembourg. In her current role, she acts as the expert on regulatory topics that impact last-mile deliveries and is responsible for relationships with local authorities to reconcile their mobility policy ambitions with Amazon’s transport decarbonization strategy.
Head of Brussels office at Swedish Commerce with a demonstrated history of working with public affairs especially in the retail och wholesale sector. Skilled in Government affairs, EU agenda and International Trade with a Master of Laws from Stockholm University in Sweden. Andrea Condotta is an international expert on innovation and sustainability in logistics.
His career in the sector of transport and logistics began in 2010 working as a consultant with public and private entities such as the Port of Venice, The European House Ambrosetti, and CFLI.
From 2015 until 2020 he held the position of Global Marketing & Innovation Manager in Codognotto supporting the definition of the Group’s long-term strategy. At the end of this experience, he joined Gruber Logistics where he is currently Public Affairs, Sustainability & Innovation Director.
